Structural report on bulging walls


Older buildings were not always designed and built to the same rigorous standards as today but also the effects of time can lead to deterioration of elements of the structure of your home or property.

 A common example of this is bulging walls.

Bulges in walls most often occur on the upper storeys of properties but can also be found at lower levels.  In many cases, a bulging wall is not currently a cause for structural concern.  However, as a wall leans, there is a certain point beyond which it is no longer stable such that it will tend to pull itself over to lean more.  Whilst this is often a gradual process, it is one that needs addressing.  These symptoms may be causing you concern on the safety of integrity of your property, and possibly cause worry of the safety of your and family and you are seeking informed advice.

Often a structural problem may be localised in the property and you may wish Structures-Made-Easy only need to report only on that issue.  Alternatively, we can investigate the structure of the entire property.
