Domestic property conversion and extension. The scheme involved adding a rear single storey extension, converting the property by removing some walls and adding additional space with an open plan layout and adding a hipped roof loft conversion.

Details

Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by the client’s architect to design the structural package for knocking down ground floor load bearing walls and for creating an extension and loft conversion. The nature of the hipped roofs in the project required introduction of cranked steel beams to suit the roof type and angles and provide stability to the roof. The remainder of the structure was constructed in simply supported steels, timber floor and roof infills.
