Domestic property conversion and extension. The scheme involved adding a single storey rear extension and restructuring the building internally to create an open plan layout.

Details

Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by the architect to design both sub and super structures of the proposed project. The ground floor of the existing timber framed building was converted and extended to have an open plan layout. The opening under the original house was created by inserting a ‘box frame’ steel structure. The foundations bridged over a public sewer pipe and traditional strip foundations were installed under the newly constructed walls. A timber roof and Catnic lintels were installed over the proposed openings.
