Details
Structures Made Easy Ltd provided the designs for the single storey extension to the rear of the ground floor, with a new flat roof and skylight. The diagonal shaped rooflight lanterns required diagonal steel beams to trim the timber roof around and provide support to the lanterns. The spans and open plan layout required steel framing to support the relatively large loads and restore lateral stability of the building. The steel was exposed on the inside to achieve an industrial look as desired by the client and architect.
