Details

Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by the architect to design both sub and super structures of the proposed project. Retaining walls and new strip foundations were installed by [underpinning] part of the length of the boundary wall to the adjacent property. The lower ground floor was extended and supported by a ‘box frame’ steel structure and steel beams under load bearing walls to achieve an open plan layout. The mansard structure was designed to be the slimmest and lightest possible to achieve maximum headroom required by the client and to allow for easy transport of steel beams on site.
