Details

Structures Made Easy Ltd was appointed to carry out the feasibility study, ahead of planning submission, to assess the structural feasibility of a proposed, irregular shaped, mixed use, new build. The proposal was to use pre-fabrication to have minimal impact on site (waste management, less carbon emission, quicker building erection, less physical impact on the Greenbelt etc.). The prefabrication mainly consisted of concrete units assembled on site. External irregular roof construction was to consist of prefabricated aluminium panels. Individual flat roofs over each unit was to consist of prefabricated reinforced concrete panels which formed part of the overall prefabricated concrete units. Foundations were to be piled due to proximity of the river.
