Details
Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by the architect to design both sub and super structures of the proposed conversion of the Victorian property. The foundations bridged over a public sewer pipe with RC lintels and concrete pads. A ‘box frame’ steel structure and steel beams under the main load bearing walls to allow their removal. Other steel posts were concealed within walls for stability and to create flush finishes. The roof was constructed in traditional timber.
