67 Harwood Road SW6
Brief and project type
Full refurbishment with internal alterations, lower ground floor extension and Mansard Addition project to a private family dwelling.
Concrete, masonry, steel, timber
The scheme involved converting and adding additional space to divide property into flats. Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by client architect to design both sub and super structure of the proposed building.
Scheme involved retaining walls, traditional strip foundations and underpinning to adjacent property boundary walls. Lower Ground Floor benefited of open plan layout and extension that was achieved by inserting ‘box frames’ steel structures and steel beams under main load bearing walls of the house.
The mansard structure was designed to be slimmest and lightest to achieve maximum headroom required by client and to satisfy builder needs to handle steel on site.
We strive to respond speedily and efficiently to resolve project problems and queries for all our private residential clients.
