Brief and project type
Merging two buildings and converting existing warehouse to be part of single family dwelling.
Steel, glass masonry, timber, concrete
The scheme involved converting and adding additional space by merging existing house to the outside warehouse and adding glazed structure in between and opening up ground floor wall. Structures Made Easy Ltd. was approached by client architect to be project structural engineers and design both sub and super structure of the proposed building.
Cranked frames and ridge beams were introduced to support the warehouse vaulted roof and stabilise wall panels. Other steel structure and timber elements were introduced as part of the design. SHS columns were hidden within walls to achieve flush ends in certain corners and satisfy overall architectural design.
We strive to respond speedily and efficiently to resolve project problems and queries for all our private residential clients.
